Unfortunately, many Republicans in Congress refuseto ask the wealthy topay a little more by closing tax loopholes so that we can protect investments that are helping grow our economy and keep our country safe.
But if that's the case then those for whom it should be toughest should be the tax crooks living in our midst who refusetopay their share for the society we all live in.
If all goes as the supporters hope, those already insured will see a modest drop in their premiums, lower-income residents will be offered new, more-affordable plans and subsidies to help them pay for coverage, and those who can afford insurance but refuse will face increasing tax penalties until they obtain coverage.
